Mexico, MO (Nov. 2, 2015) —
Dr. Clark Andelin, chair of the surgery department and OB/GYN for SSM Health Medical Group, and Dr. Joseph Corrado, general surgeon and chief of staff for SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Audrain, were both recognized at the American College of Surgeons (ACOS) meeting on Oct. 4 in Chicago, Ill.
Andelin was initiated as a fellow to the ACOS indicating that his education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation and are consistent with the high standards established by the college.
Corrado was recognized for 30 years of service as a cancer liaison with the Commission on Cancer. Established in 1963, the Cancer Liaison Program was developed as a grassroots network of physician volunteers willing to manage clinically related cancer activities in their local institutions and surrounding communities.

Andelin completed his residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia and medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is located at the Women's Health Clinic at 605 E. Promenade, Suite A in Mexico.
Corrado earned his medical degree from St. Louis University and completed his residency at Albany Medical Center Hospitals in Albany, N.Y. He also completed a cancer fellowship at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass. He practices at the hospital and is located at 809 Medical Park Drive, Suite 103 in Mexico.
