St. Mary's Receives National Ultrasound Accreditation

St. Mary’s Health Center has been recognized for its commitment to quality testing in cardiac and vascular ultrasound with its recent re-accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., with one American dying from the condition every 39 seconds. Early detection of these life-threatening threatening heart disorders and vascular diseases is possible through the use of non-invasive testing techniques performed in ultrasound laboratories.

St. Mary’s was granted accreditation for a fourth consecutive three-year term by the commission. St. Mary’s has seven full-time and part-time ultrasound technologists on staff.
