Brent VanConia, regional president of the SSM Mid-Missouri Region and president at St. Mary’s Health Center, recently presented information on the new St. Mary’s hospital at the International Summit and Exhibition on Health Facility Planning, Design, and Construction in Orlando, Fla.
VanConia presented on functional programming and its role in a creating a successful hospital project. Functional programming has been the process used to transition the patient care model at the new St. Mary’s hospital.
The PDC Summit, hosted by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering, provides architects, construction professionals, interior designers, facility managers, and hospital administrators an opportunity to share best practices in building and renovating health care facilities.
